When will I take control?
The day you walk out of your doctor’s office with a diagnosis of psoriasis, you’ll be heading out on a path toward learning to manage your skin condition. How quickly you get to that point will be up to you.
Some recent research asked psoriasis patients to describe their journey from diagnosis to management. What many had in common was a sense of having gone through four emotional stages. As you explore these and learn, you’ll see that you can create goals that are attainable. For most people, the goals can be stated quite simply, though actually reaching them may be a challenging exercise:

- If you also have psoriatic arthritis, you’ll be working to manage any joint pain.
- Finally, you’ll have a great desire to begin living a more “normal” life.
Discover how emerging from the fog of your diagnosis can lead to living day to day with psoriasis, and then feeling more positive about your condition, to the point where you begin to actually getting into a groove.
